How to find Secret Spot St Ives , Cornwall.

Getting here – directions

By car: From the A30 take the second exit onto A3074 following signs to St Ives. At mini-roundabout continue on A3074 following signs to Lelant and St Ives. Continue along A3074 through Lelant and Carbis Bay. Go straight on over mini-roundabout at Tesco.

As you drop into St Ives you will see the bus station on your right with view over harbour and town. Follow road which bends sharply to right and continue down Tregenna Hill. At bottom of Tregenna Hill, go straight on into Tregenna Place. At end of Tregenna Place look for Barclays Bank opposite you. Go left at Barclays Bank and immediately right into a road with a barrier marked ‘private road’, in front of the Bedford Road Church. The Old Sunday School (secretspot-stives) is to the left behind the church.

By train

St Ives is reached by train from the St Erth-St Ives branch line. Main lines trains from London and the Midlands go to St Erth.

The Old Sunday School is a comfortable 10 minutes level walk from the train station. From the station exit, facing the sea, cross the car park diagonally to your right for steps down to the Warren. Go left at the bottom of the steps, with the sea on your right and continue past Pedn Olva hotel down the Warren until you reach the St Ives Arts Club on your right at the bottom. Go left, and at the junction with St Andrews Street, continue straight on up Street an Pol, past the Guildhall on your right.

At the end of Street an Pol, go right at the Isobar on the corner. This is Tregenna Place. Continue along Tregenna Place until you reach Barclays Bank. Go left into Bedford Road. Take the road to the right just past the Barclays cashpoint, with the barrier marked ‘private road’, in front of the Bedford Road church. The entrance to Trewyn Gardens is in front of you. Follow the road round the side of the church to your left. The Old Sunday School is in front of you.
