The Secret Spot St Ives Gallery.

Opened in October 2006 with an exhibition of photographs from the British Surfing Association’s archive to celebrate 40 years of British surfing, the Secret Spot Gallery can be found on the first floor of the Old Sunday School, St Ives.
Our aim is to develop this new venue in the centre of St Ives as a Centre for Surf Culture, dedicated to the celebration of surfing, surf heritage, lifestyle and culture.
Our exhibition programme will include work by contemporary surf photographers, video and film-makers, as well as historic archive photography and film. The gallery will also be used for our developing programme of residential short courses.
As well as forthcoming exhibitions by Lucia Griggi and Stu Norton, our plans include a regular programme of surf shorts on video and dvd, and a festival of surf writing. In July 2007 we look forward to hosting the launch of Alex Wade’s hotly-awaited ‘Surf Nation’ at the Secret Spot Gallery.
We welcome enquiries from photographers, video and film makers, who might be interested in contributing to our exhibition and residential course programmes. Contact etc.
